Sophie labels herself a ‘poetry writing hobbyist’ and is stoked to be touring with Poetry in Action in 2025.
JACK
TEAM NIGHTINGALE
Raised in Brisbane, Jack started performing at a young age with his sisters around the house. Now having graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University with a Bachelor of Musical Theatre in 2022, Jack is excited to take this next step in his career and travel Australia as a part of the Poetry in Action team. He is also very excited to create art in a space for the next generation of performers and show how timeless poetry is in our modern world. Apart from performing, Jack enjoys theatre, movies, gaming and, of course, playing with his two kittens, Lily and Billy.
LUCY
TEAM NIGHTINGALE
Lucy, a graduate of the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art, has emerged as a dynamic performer across multiple disciplines. Her recent screen credits include Tali Squata Locks, Nyssa We Can Still Be Friends, and Audra Untethered, as well as hero roles in various Triple J music videos. While studying, Lucy played roles including Kurogo in Singaporean director Ong Keng Sen’s Sandaime Richard. Adopted from China and raised on Australia’s Mid-North Coast, Lucy’s unique experiences and inquisitive nature position her as a natural-born storyteller. Lucy grew up with a love of literature and slam poetry, and she can’t wait to share this passion whilst touring with Poetry in Action!

BAYLEY
TEAM RAVEN
Bayley is an energetic and passionate multi-disciplinary artist who acts, sings, dances, directs, and writes. Bayley completed her RAD ballet exams, participated in school musicals, toured the USA with her dance studio and was accepted into the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC but realised her true passion was for theatre and film. She went on to complete her Bachelor of Performing Arts at Actors Centre Australia. During her time at ACA, her roles included Dympie in After Dinner, Elizabeth Law in When the Rain Stops Falling, Kate Mundy in Dancing at Lughnasa, Kate in Taming of the Shrew, Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet, multiple roles in Machinal, Tanya in Love, and Miss Prism in The Importance of Being Earnest. 2024 was also the year of her directorial debut, adapting a novel for the stage as part of Simmer. Bayley is beyond excited to share her passion for poetry with students all over the country.
keiden
TEAM RAVEN
Keiden is a proud Chinese-Australian actor originally from Wollongong, where he cut his teeth performing in community theatre. Despite graduating with a Bachelor of Communications and Media Studies and working in marketing, in 2023, Keiden left that life to pursue his acting dreams. Recent roles include Peter in Christ Almighty, Christy in The Lieutenant of Inishmore and Burbage in Shakespeare in Love. Keiden is most excited to perform for kids who feel like they don’t belong and show them it’s cool to be different. Keiden’s proudest credit was being flown over to LA to compete in a mini-golfing TV show in 2020. He’s a terrible mini-golfer.
ELLEN
TEAM RAVEN
Born in Orange, Ellen’s love for the performing arts began in dance. After years of training in various styles and completing a Diploma of Elite Performance (Contemporary Dance), a newfound love of acting blossomed, leading her to study a Bachelor of Performing Arts at Actors Centre Australia. Ellen has had the pleasure of playing Tanya in Love, Gwen in Away, Hermione in The Winter’s Tale, Ona in a stage adaptation of Women Talking, Death in Everybody and Bernadette in Stags and Hens (The Remix). Ellen can’t wait to share her love of language and physical storytelling with Poetry in Action in 2025!
