In 2025 Outside the Box Events and Theatre by QE2 are partnering with Australia’s #1 touring educational company, Poetry in Action, to bring dynamic educational performances to the UAE in October! Poetry in Action is excited to return to the UAE in 2025 with shows available for Primary and Junior Secondary levels! Over 20 years, Poetry in Action has engaged, inspired, and educated hundreds of thousands of school students across the globe, from Australia to New Zealand, Hong Kong, and – of course – The UAE.

Special Venue Performances:
- 100 د.إ. per student, minimum 50 students per booking
- Abu Dhabi: Saturday 1st November – Sunday 2nd November
- Theatre by QE2: Saturday 8th November – Sunday 9th November.
In School Performances:
- 100 د.إ. per student, minimum 300 students per booking for up to two performances in your school. Additional performances require a minimum of 150 students per performance.
- Monday 27th October – Thursday 30th October; Monday 3rd November – Thursday 6th November
THE POETS’ QUEST: primary level
Embark on an epic adventure with The Poets’ Quest! Join Blake as he discovers the future of the world hinges on his poetic prowess! As Blake journeys through time to win back his true love, Grace, and save the world, students will be thrilled and inspired while learning essential poetic techniques like rhyme, rhythm, imagery, and theme. A captivating blend of excitement and education that will ignite a passion for poetry in young audiences! Perfect for students aged 8-14.
MUSE IT OR LOSE IT: junior high level
Discover the magic of self-expression through poetry and creative writing in Muse It or Lose It! On Mount Helicon, the Muses argue over whether music or poetry is the best art form. Students will follow zany characters in a high-energy comedy exploring music and poetry through live performances. The show examines forms from sonnets to slam poetry, linking classic literature with contemporary works, and showcasing techniques such as metaphor, symbolism, and intertextuality. It’s an ideal tool for engaging students with their poetry and inspiring literary talents. Perfect for students aged 13-15.

Dive into stunning, evocative poetry in Words of Wilfred Owen, a dynamic performance showcasing his powerful poems, including “Dulce et Decorum Est” and “Anthem for Doomed Youth”.
