We can only continue to reach disadvantaged, regional and rural areas thanks to the support, enthusiasm and generosity of public and government bodies, charitable trusts and private individuals. Poetry in Action is a not-for-profit organisation and Registered Charity. Donations of $2 and over are tax-deductible under Subdivision 30-B section 30-100 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997. We have some big plans for the future which we love talking about so if you’d like to know more please contact us! What Teachers Say
Listen to teachers across Australia providing their feedback on Poetry in Action’s 2017 program!
At Poetry in Action we love having the opportunity to share our shows beyond the classrooms, and it doesn’t get much better than performing for Starlight Kids!
In 2017 Team Nightingale and Team Raven took The Paper Tiger to Randwick and Westmead Children’s Hospitals (NSW) and Princess Margaret Hospital (WA).
More than just a show, PIA’s programs inspire kids to put pen to paper and write their own poetry. Here are some of the recent competition entry monthly winners. To find out more about the competition click here.
